Micromax A116 Canvas HD VS Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Micromax managed to stir up quite a bit of interest when they unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, a “phablet” — with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, the company’s first quad-core processor smartphone with Dual sim.  The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone has similar specs  at much higher price-point. With two   phones currently available, which is best for you?

         Verdict:-Draw.

• Processor :-

        Micromax A116 Canvas HD:-1.2GHz Cortex A7 on a MediaTek MT6589 chipset.

        Samsung Galaxy Note 2:-1.6GHz Cortex A9 on an Exynos 4412 chipset.

       Verdict:-Both are powered by quad core processors but Exynos chipset is more efficient than  Media Tex  chipset.

• Display: :-

        Micromax A116 Canvas HD:- 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

       Samsung Galaxy Note 2::-5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

      Verdict:-Canvas HD, with its slightly smaller display, offers a higher pixels per inch (ppi) count than the Note 2.Super Amoled display offers more vibrant colours.

• Battery:-

        Micromax A116 Canvas HD:-2100mAh battery.

       Samsung Galaxy Note 2:-3100mAh battery.

     Verdict:-Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with 3100mAh bateery and Amoled screen is going to last more than Micromax A116 Canvas HD.

• Memory:-

         Micromax A116 Canvas HD:- internal storage of 4 GB(32GB via microSD).

         Samsung Galaxy Note 2:-internal storage of 16/32/64 GB(64GB via microSD).

        Verdict:-Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the winner.

• Price:-

         Micromax A116 Canvas HD:-Rs 13.990.

         Samsung Galaxy Note 2:-Rs. 35,900.

        Verdict:-Micromax A116 Canvas HD is value for money.
