Nokia has reduced the price of its flagship model Nokia Lumia 920 in India.The price of the model has been reduced to Rs 32,000.The model was introduced in the market at a price tag of Rs 38,200 earlier this year.

Nokia has reduced the price of its flagship model due to the impending arrival of Nokia Lumia 925 in Indian Market.Nokia has put Nokia Lumia 925 in its online website.

Nokia has launched the new Asha 501, a new low end smartphone.The phone is a big revamp of  the Asha series since its launch way back in 2011.The device will run on new Nokia Asha software platform 1.0.Nokia Asha software is a effort by Nokia to to give it low end phones a smartphone like features.The OS is designed in such a way to give developers more room to create apps.  

Nokia Asha 501 comes in six colors:-red,free,yellow,white,black and cyan. The phone will provide 17 hours of talk-time and 48 days on standby.

Nokia teases New Smartphone

Nokia seems to be working on a new Qwerty  smartphone.The company posted a write up in its blog teasing a new smartphone.Nokia didn't disclosed what it was going to announce but posted this on their blog.

"You won’t have to wait long to find out.

On Wednesday morning at 7am GMT (8am UK time) we will be announcing something new, followed by a Q&A session with Neil Broadley from our Mobile Phones team and a special guest."

The teaser on the blog shows yellow device screen with corner of the keyboard hinting a Qwerty smartphone.

Wait for the official announcement to see what Nokia pulls out of its bag.

NOKIA LUMIA TO SLICE PRICE IN INDIA

Nokia is going to slice the price of its Windows based Lumia phones to make it more affordable to the Indian customers.Nokia's senior vice president D.Shivakumar says that the company will tweak the price of its Lumia series based phone to make it affordable to the masses.The move can be seen as a step to counter the price cut by Samsung of its flagship model Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2.

NOKIA ASHA VS SAMSUNG REX

Samsung has launched four new features phone to take on Nokia Asha device.The phone will range from Rs 4000-6500.The Rex series is available in India and is targeted for youth.

Samsung Rex series doesn't provide a knocking punch to the Nokia Asha series.Apart from budget price Tag the Samsung Rex series fall short of Nokia Asha Series.Insipte of Samsung providing some social features It falls sort of Nokia Asha series as the later provide wider range of application such as  Opera Mini browser.

Samsung Rex series also lacks in OS capabilities as compared to Nokia Asha series.Samsung Java based Rex phone fell short Of Nokia popular S40 OS.Samsung does not have huge music store or any location play.On the other side Nokia Asha phones comes with 40 preloded games.

Samsung knows that a low budget Android phone cannot give the experience as Nokia S40 OS.Samsung bit to take on low budget market with Rex series doesn't seem to be enough.It will be tough time for Samsung Rex series ahead.

Should you update your mobile Operating System?
